1. Choose a spot on your property that receives at least 6 hours of sun per day.
2. Prepare your soil by clearing the area of all existing growth.
3. Mix the Wildflower seeds with sand for better visibility.
4. After spreading the seed, we recommend compressing the seed into the soil.
5. After planting, give the area a good water.

So far I'm very pleased

I planted my skullcap plant this spring and it bloomed continuously up to hard frost. I'm anxious to see how it overwinters, as it was so pretty in my garden bed. If the plant survives, I'll definitely being buying more!

About Me Getting Started
I live in a high desert climate where we really don't have a spring. Our summer is brief. These guys are smaller than what is described but this is typical in my area. I have terrible soil. We call it pumy because it's is basically pumice from a volcano that is very sandy. I also have deer, rabbits, and voles. They don't eat this plant however.
Bloomed all summer!

I have this plant hooked to my drip irrigation and it grew to full size the first summer (2016) of planting. It flowered heavily up to first freeze. Although our winters are harsh here in Santa Fe, I'm confident it will be viable this spring!

This is a low plant, very thick and full. Dozens of small purply flowers begin at the bottom and move up. Can't say about hardiness, but blooms the first year.

Used as Zone 5a front-of-the-border plant. Just 1st season,so still getting to know this plant. I'll update after winter. Great constant bloomer, not fussy. Had a rainy spring, then very dry summer & fall and it kept going strong. Plan to purchase more in spring for border plantings.
I need more of this

Doubled it's size the first summer. Long blooming and eye catching
Beautiful steady bloomer
from Wichita County, Texas
I planted this in November in Zone 7 by a large rock in the yard. We got very little rain for several months, and my region has been in a drought wherein it's been illegal to water plants in the yard. This specimen apparently established great roots through the winter, and now it's blooming and growing and absolutely stunning.
Beautiful and does well in heat

I first put 3 of these in hanging baskets last year. They did very well and I received lots of compliments. In the fall, I planted them in my backyard as they were getting too big for the hanging basket space. They are all thriving and have beautiful purple blooms. I have been very happy with all my purchases from High Country Gardens. They always perform better than plants I can find locally.
