A little known ornamental grass from the Mediterranean, Stipa gigantea's dramatic presence is eye catching in the landscape. A cool season grower, this Stipa blooms in late spring and early summer with graceful 6 ft. tall flower spikes. Giant Stipa thrives in heat and is excellent for use as a hedge, along walls or driveways.
