Low growing, mint scented and beautiful, this alpine form of Zizophora, Zizophora clinopodioides 'Alpinum' (Alpine Blue Mint Bush), is a recent introduction from the high mountains of Morocco. Covered with light lavender-blue flowers, this highly aromatic groundcover is a favorite of the bees who are attracted by the nectar-rich, late spring flowers. Collected by Mike Kintgen of Denver Botanic Gardens.
