‘Mojito’ Elephant Ear (Colocasia esculenta) strikes a stunning profile with bold speckled foliage. Every leaf produces its own unique pattern, reaching up to two feet long. Strong stems lift the foliage skyward before arching gracefully outward for a fountain-like appearance. Perfect for creating privacy and adding lush foliage to outdoor spaces, container gardens, or flower beds. Elephant ears also make great houseplants!

Beautiful Foliage

"This is a difficult plant to grow here in Florida zone 9B. It cannot be in the full sun. I have grown Colocasia and Alocasia for over 15 years, in the ground. Mojito burns in the sun, and seems to not like the filtered shade either. I have several Mojito plants and have tried several growing locations. Our soil is mostly sand. We amend the soil with Black Kow and perlite. All other Alocasia and Colocasia do amazing. I have A. Portora that is 12' high with 6' long leaves. and an A. Lutea that is 8' high and 6' wide. My A. Low Rider is 5' wide and 4' high. Mojito leaves are very thin, it may be best in a pot indoors here in Florida."

If you love brown/purple spotted leaves.

"My Mojito has barely sprouted. I had to wait until last frost date which was only 4 weeks ago. Next year I'll start it indoors early. I really do recommend these large bulbs."

Didn't grow.

"Very disappointed. Planted, cared for, and it didn't grow."

I planted it, but nothing grew. Sad 😢

"I love high country gardens and have been very happy over the years with their products. But this item was a dud."

"Adds to my hummingbird and butterfly garden. Diversity makes it"

love elephant ears but how to plant?

"I love all elephant ears! They are so dramatic and tropical. I photo or drawing of which end is up on the bulb would be very helpful. Caladiums are the same thing. Hard to tell. I like to give them a head start by planting indoors before it is warm enough to put them out in my containers."
