How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
(4-6" tall x 12-24" wide) 'Angelina' Creeping Sedum is a low maintenance
solution for an easy-to-grow, high-color groundcover. Bright
golden-yellow foliage spreads to form dense mats of evergreen foliage.
Small star-like yellow flowers appear over the foliage in mid-summer and
bloom for more than four weeks. In fall the foliage glows with an
amber-orange tint adding another dimension to the garden. A pollinator
favorite, it is frequented by beneficial insects and pollinators
including bees, birds, and butterflies. ‘Angelina’ is a great choice for
rock gardens, retaining walls, alpine plantings, and containers. It
will naturalize and spread to cover hospitable ground. Happy in full sun
and poor, gravely, sandy soil, it just needs good drainage to thrive.
Disease resistant, this hardy perennial Sedum needs no special care once
established and is deer and rabbit resistant. Just plant it, water to
establish, and enjoy. The succulent foliage stores up water for lean
times giving this tough plant great resilience. Hardy in zones 5-9, the
succulent foliage is also easy to propagate – just break off a stem and
plant it where you want it. It will beautifully fill in crevices in
rocks and will fill in spaces between larger plants.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. "I plant mostly as ground cover but also nice at edge of pots where hangs over."
"I love my Angelina sedum from Hugh Country Gardens and if I won the sweepstakes I would use some of it to get more of these and place them here and there in my sidewalk landscaping. I live the sunshine yellow if this sedum. It provides dramatic contrast with my mulch and with the green plants around it"
"I live in high desert, zone 6. This sedum does great in the ground or in containers No care needed. My containers get morning sun/afternoon shade and whatever rain happens to fall on them. Wherever pieces happen to fall off, new plants begin. This has led to several areas of my yard with this as Groundcover."
"Easy to grow and does great in sun/partial shade. Very bright yellow green color. Very attractive."
"Using as a ground cover in a new construction yard border"
"This is going extremely well and happily spreading - very ha"
"Pretty, loving how it looks and is healthy and happy where it's planted. Can't wait for it to spread out and cover my rock bed."
