Interesting plant that does well in shade

"The leaves themselves are interesting. Year two (pictured) they put out these cool yellow flowers. They're planted in the median between sidewalk and road under an evergreen tree - so NOT an easy place to thrive and yet they are!"

Lamiastrum ""Herman's Pride""

"This is surprisingly slow to grow and fill in. In several months the plants have had some flowering blooms, but all 6 are still only about 2"" tall. My experience in the past with this plant has been favorable. When it does fill in it is not an invasive plant, and browsing animals are not attracted to it. just waiting . . . . and waiting."

Great spring growth

"Planted in fall per directions underneath shady, north side drip line. Also gets neighbors snow from driveway. Very vigorous 1st spring growth with buds about to bloom in late April in Durango, co. I have It protected against deer with wire cage. Interesting foliage. Use the free water from your roof and shade from your house to make this one work in an often neglected area of your garden!"

I would buy again for shady areas

"These are great mixed with periwinkle under my aspen tree where I can't get gramma grass to grow."

Review of Lamiastrum galeobdoblon Herman's Pride

"Very cute plant with wintergreen colored leaves and distinctive yellow/white veining, I'm hoping to use it as groundcover under a smokebush tree. Looks very nice against purple, pink, blue and yellow shades of flowers."
