"Plants in perfect condition!!"

Melissa (5/5)

Great plant

"I bought a few of these three years ago and they are thriving in the full sun at 7300'. The deer leave ignore them and we have a lot of hungry deer. I've moved two and divided one so that I could try to propagate them in a relatively neglected part of my yard. They are all growing well. #sweepstakes"

Vibrant and Brilliant Accent

"The plant arrived healthy, well-protected for shipping, and ready to go into the ground. It was a little smaller than I expected but already had a bud stalk ready and it didn't take long for it to bloom after planting. It will likely take a season or two before it reaches its full potential but the sneak peek makes it worth the wait. #sweepstakes"

Adore this, but, so do the deer

"I absolutely love Red Hot Poker. They are supposed to be deer resistant, but the deer in my area eat them like lollipops! They don't have a chance."

Looks good

"Plants arrived in good condition and were very well packaged. One was a little dry and had some dried up tips but nothing serious and it should recover quickly."

Butterfly garden

"This plant came in healthy and I am looking forward to watching it grow."

Sad

"I bought two and they were both doing good and had one poker each. Then one perished because of the extreme heat or too much/not enough water. I also bought a milkweed which was doing well, then perished in the extreme heat."

Great plant BUT not in Colorado zone 5B

"Just fyi fellow Colorado gardeners: I have tried these for the last 3 summers. Plants arrived safely and looked hearty. First summer: plant died (had it in a container - overwatering? underwatering? not sure). Second summer: ordered 3 and put in ground -- all 3 died (I think the voles got them). Third summer: Put in a container again. It was doing well and sent up one nice flower BUT deer ate the flower. So sad. The flowers are really pretty but they must be super delicious for the deer. I am giving up on this plant. Still rating as 5-star, but this plant does not seem right for my particular conditions."
