How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (801) 769-0300 or contact us by email or chat.

"I placed 6 of these plants in my front flower bed among other desert-like plants. I carefully dug a large hole for each plant and I added about 4 inches of sand into the hole first for drainage. I planted these in May 2023 and as of March 2025, they have finally sent up their first flower shoot. It was certainly worth the wait as they are beautiful flowering plants. Just be sure you have enough space because they get very wide and large."
"Your replacement plant was much larger than the first; however I couldn't get this particular yucca to grow in Tennessee. Not your fault; perhaps we get too much rain. Perhaps I will try again at some point."
"I planted this a few years ago and it has done well. It took awhile to bloom- second summer, so expect that. But now it blooms most of the summer, and right now in the fall it still has a beautiful stalk of flowers. The hummingbirds love it. I put a thin stake by the flower stalk to keep it more upright, it leans over. I'm ordering 2 more."
"Three of these line a fence between property and street. A row of Blue Jean Russian Sage in front and pots of crososmia in front of that. Planted this spring and still the same height as when planted. I am hoping for much higher. At 5,000' in high Sierras, weather can be extreme. Must wait for height and blooms."
"Yuccas are the bane of my gardening. I keep wanting to grow them, and they keep dying on me. I just can't figure out what this plant needs to thrive, which is comical since it's supposed to resilient. I've killed probably 90% of the ones I've planted over the past few years, but still have one hanging on. It's living on the south side of my house and only receives hand-watering (since I think some died from over-watering before). Fingers crossed, since I love how they look in other peoples' yards, but I just can't figure this plant out. *Note: HCG has been great about replacing/refunding my plants and giving me advice on how to grow yuccas."
"It is part of a memorial garden for my older brother who died from leukemia"
"I am putting it in the back of my new xeriscape garden."
"great vertical accent. Hummingbird love it. Just plain 'cool'"
"Too soon to make a comment. Takes a year or two to bloom. Plant doubled in size first year."
