Very Pleased. Would definitely recomend.

"I live in Portland Oregon. Ordered this for spring delivery. Planted it immediately in my south facing front yard which gets all day full sun. It did better than I expected. It is an unbelievably blue color. It was not fussy to grow. I look forward to seeing how it does next year."

Sure would have liked to have these!

"This was my last attempt to purchase from High Country. Plants arrive with all the soil knocked off the roots and the plants are small and near dead!"

Fun, unique, spiky beauty

"Love this plant! So fun and unique in my garden. We had to install a dry well by our parking area because it was flooding constantly and we have a high water table where we live. Flooding problem solved, but nothing would grow because it is in full sun and so dry now. I decided to go with waterwise plants that would do fine with dry feet and watering from a few sprinklers and mother nature. I planted everything in October 2024 and already the plants are growing like crazy and filling the area! Next year promises to be even more spectacular! I highly recommend getting the Blue Glitter Sea Holly if you want something different to add to your garden."

One of my favorite plants

"I bought 3 Blue Glitter eryngium by mail about 8 years ago and had a hard time getting more because they were never available at my local nurseries. Fortunately, they have reseeded nicely (not aggressively) over time in my beds. The form, color, and long bloom period of this eryngium make it an outstanding performer in my garden; they even look beautiful after the flowers have faded, providing a strong vertical accent through fall and winter. I also like that their leaves and flowers are not spiky like other sea hollies. Mine are planted in hard but quick drying soil, gets lots of sun, and receive regular watering. I would consider them to be heat and drought tolerant. Highly recommend."

Thriving (despite a bit of rabbit damage)

"Lovely healthy plant (though rabbits have done some damage at various points in the summer)"

So far, so good.

"I bought several of these and they are in several stages of doing well-- some are great now, some are coming along and might be better next year. So have had the main stock of flowers fall over, but I don't know if that is from weight or from the dogs bumping them. I planted them the beginning of May and it's now mid-July. I'm very happy with how much they've grown. I've been pretty impressed with how much all of my HCG plants have grown when you consider how small they were when they shipped."

Very unique!

"This is not an extreme desert plant. It does seem to like some acidity / amendments / mulching / supplemental watering, at least in our alkaline high desert environment. Once it blooms, though, the results are long lasting. In my opinion it is worth the extra care."

Very hard to find

"Use in my xeric perennial garden in Rio Rancho. Bees and butterflies love this plant. Bloomed the first summer-- beautiful and added texture to my garden and a beautiful blue color."

Eryngium Planum Blue Glitter

"I just love this plant. I have been trying for about 2 years previous just to order it and both times it was out of stock. I finally got to get 4 plants and I just love them. They are wonderfully ""strange"" and so pretty. They draw in different insects that seem to enjoy them. If you want something unusual in your garden give this plant a try. The color is also very pretty."
