How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Thymus serpyllum 'Pink Chintz' (Creeping Thyme) is a low, tight growing selection of creeping thyme. 'Pink Chintz' Thyme blooms in mid-spring, creating a carpet of salmon-pink flowers. It is one of the first Thyme to bloom in spring and is an excellent choice for planting between flagstones and other stone pavers in patios, courtyards, and pathways. Thymus 'Pink Chintz' with its thick stems of woolly foliage is more durable and more waterwise than other creeping thymes and thrives in almost any well-drained soil in full sun. Can tolerate occasional foot traffic.

"Poor quality"
"Bought one to see how it would perform as a future lawn replacement. (I'm zone 7b in Virginia) It comes as a teeny tiny plug in a 2. 5"" pot so I was a little worried about how fast it would grow and how far it would spread. Planted in the mid spring and saw a small amount of growth over the warm season & some blooms. It's mid March now almost a year after planting and I was shocked to see how much this little Plant grew over the winter/early spring? We had a fairly cold winter too! I can't believe how much it has grown! I should also mention that I planted it in the edge of a tilled & natural (no dye) mulched garden bed so it didn't have other plants or grasses to compete with which probably helped a lot. I'll probably still have to buy a few hundred more of these little plugs to fill my front yard, but I'm very impressed with its performance!"
"Thyme doesn't like to share its space. Definitely needs to be weeded to encourage growth."
"THE THYME REPLACED CREEPING PHLOX. I WAS UNABLE TO KEEP THE GRASS OUT OF THE PHLOX SO I CHOSE THE THYME FOR THE COLOR AND SIMPLICITY. ALTHOUGH THEY ARE VERY YOUNG, THEY ARE STILL ATTRACTIVE. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE MATURE."
"I've planted them between the stepping stones in my garden path. Doing well so far without needing much water."
"Out of 10 plants, 9 are thriving. One doesn't look like it will survive."
"I have ordered here for years and am impressed with the variety, quality, and packaging for shipment. I have had great success with most of the plants I have ordered. This is my first time ordering the Creeping Thume but I'm sure it will be another winner. ""Sweepstakes"""
"Planted last fall and it's growing pretty well"
"I ordered the 32 plant tray. They came 4 days after ordering. The plants were fresh, green, and healthy. I would definitely order again and in fact will do so, next month. I am very happy with the quality of these little gems! This variety is hard to find in my area of the country so I am very happy I could get these."
"I have not put them in the ground yet. I live in the Mid West and we don't plant till mid May. (My grandpa always said not till after mother's day) These shipped the third week of April. Trees are budding here and early bulbs are blooming, but it snowed here the day after they arrived. Today is April 26, and we had another frost warning last night. I have to bring them in, take them out. . . Mailing these plants should not be one size fits all. Please consider the planting zone before sending them out. I'm going to plant them now and hope for the best. I'll keep you posted."
