'Splendens' Armeria (Armeria maritima), also called Sea Thrift, is a popular selection covered with a profusion of rose-pink flower clusters that bounce atop stiff stems and are favored by honeybees. This low-growing perennial forms a tidy mat of grassy evergreen foliage. Don’t let its playful form fool you – Armeria is a highly rugged, low-maintenance native plant well-suited for hot, dry locations and coastal gardens.

Received in great condition and continues to thrive

"Impeccable packaging for my first ever order, very impressed. I planted 2 of 4 soon after receiving. Then I planted the last 2 about a month later. All are doing great. Small plants for the price, but you pay for convenience and diversity of choices."

Sweet Border Plant

"There are two things I love about this plant: it has a nice grassy appearance for those of us who dont have grass and the blooms are very bright and cheery. What I dont tlike is that it doesnt really spread much (or mine haven't anyway) so you need quite a fee to make a continuous cover. The deer also decimated it the first year before I put up a fence and the flowers dont last a long time. BUT when its strong and healthy with its vibrant green base and pink blooms its lovely"

So colorful, just a burst of pink.

"Love these guys. They are so sweet at the front of our flower beds."

A lovely little tufted plant

"Using this little tufted plant to edge a walking pathway. Planted in Spring, it has doubled in size (but hasn't flowered yet). Appears to be quite hardy and should fill out nicely."

Not sure yet.

"These are struggling. Maybe too much heat although they are well watered. Maybe too we'll?"

Loving this scruffy beach grass with perfect pink flowers

"LOVE this plant! Will have to order more to keep the good ones going."

So cute!

"I got 8 of these as a border in front of a dwarf spruce tree and intermixed them with greek yarrow and they are all coming along great. It took a few weeks for them to perk up and at one moment I thought maybe they had died, but a little water and some patience and they all look happy and healthy now. I live where there is no such thing as grass and the grasslike leaves of this Armeria add a really nice soft touch to the harsh environment. The description says they are very cold hardy which makes them a perfect plant for the high desert of CO"

This is a charming plant.

"I ordered at least 9 different plants from High Country Gardens in total. They were all shipped one on top of the other in a couple of boxes. It was a disaster! Of all of them I ordered, this was the only one that arrived relatively unharmed from overpacking. Although all of its blooms and stems had been broken off, there remained a small but healthy mound of greenery. It was the only one that I can say ""bounced back,"" hence my ""resilient"" comment above."
