Three strikes. . .

"I am filling my yard with as many natives - and near natives - as I can find. This year I bought quite a lot of plants from High Country, and all but the three liatris, the good on blue zinnias ,and the rabbitbrush have done splendidly. Truly above and beyond. I am quite sure I treated them right, but they just never took. 🙁"

Amazing plant!

"We got this as a plant from High Country Gardens (not seed) and put it in our front courtyard last September. It survived months of continuous hard freezes last winter and now it is surviving a 7 week drought with temps in the high 90's. It has been watered about twice a week since the drought started but that is the only supplemental water it has gotten since we watered it in last fall. It is beautiful and unique and the pollinators LOVE it! I'm definitely buying some seed to plant on our property."

Not rabbit resistant

"Germination rate of Liatris seeds is excellent. However, these are definitely not rabbit resistant, even though the product information lists that under ""advantages"". I have tried for 2 years to establish them. Rabbits ate seedllings when direct sewn and when transplanting at several inches tall. . I love seeing these flowers in the wild on hikes but have yet to see a bloom in our garden, due to rabbits. Other gardening publications list this species as favored by rabbits."
