This expertly formulated blend of cool-season grasses thrive in cool mountain areas and is formulated to withstand drought, provide habitat and be a source of natural beauty in late summer and fall.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe season for sowing the High Mountain mix begins after snow melts and extends into late July\/early August. The higher the elevation, the sooner in summer the mix should be sown. Best times to seed are either early spring or during summer monsoons, even into late fall. These species grow well in a wide range of soil types; from sandy to loam to heavy clay.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSeeding rate is 1-2 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. Germination will depend on the amount of moisture present, either by natural precipitation or through supplemental irrigation. These grasses will need two seasons in order to firmly establish.
