Description

Gladiolus White Prosperity adds vertical interest and cascades of snow white flowers to the summer garden. Blooming from mid-summer into fall, they look beautiful planted with Dahlias, ornamental grasses and other summer bloomers. This gladiolus variety was voted one of the top ten cultivars in the international cut flower market. At a height of 4-5 ft. and with 18-20 flowers per stalk it’s easy to see why they are so popular. Plant them 5" apart in groups of at least 5 for best effect. To prolong the season of bloom, plant groups of White Prosperity in succession every 2 weeks. Easy to grow and deer resistant, they make great cut flowers. Cut the stems on a cool morning with a sharp knife when there are just a few open (or partially open) flowers. Place the stems in lukewarm water with a flower preservative and the warmth of the water will encourage more flowers to open. Move to a cooler location once flowers have opened and enjoy. In zones 3-4, you can save your bulbs for next spring by digging them before the first frost and storing them in a cool, dry, frost-free place over winter.
