Description

Our Western Hummingbird Wildflower Seed Mix will provide plenty of the brightly colored flowers that are most attractive to hummingbirds. With habitat loss and climate change threatening our flying friends, it is more important than ever to offer food and habitat for hummingbirds and other pollinators in our gardens and landscapes. The Southwest is home to more species of hummingbird than any other part of the country. Some hummingbirds are year-round residents in the American South and West, but there are about a dozen species that migrate to and from the warm winter climates of Mexico and Central America. These tiny pollinators travels thousands of miles – including long stretches over water – so they need plenty of energy reserves. Once they find a reliable food source, they will return to it year after year. Plant this mix of drought-tolerant wildflowers to keep hummingbirds coming back to your garden or meadow for years to come. Annuals bloom in the first year, providing season-long color. Perennials will start to bloom in the second or third year, and will return for years to come. High Country Gardens seed mixes contain 100% seed with no fillers, and all seeds are non-GMO, neonicotinoid-free, and guaranteed to grow.
