Overview
This rare native species found only in a few areas of the Midwest is a must for brightening the late summer garden. Its scarlet-red flowers are extremely showy and will attract hummingbirds eager to feed from the nectar-rich blossoms. Plant in enriched, well-drained sandy or loam soils and irrigate regularly if conditions are dry. A wonderful flowering companion for Agastache 'Black Adder'.
