Description

Sedum globosum 'Old Man's Bones' (Stonecrop) is a gardener’s favorite because of its uniquely shaped chubby leaves and attractive star-shaped yellow flowers in the summer. The stems root as they spread, thus creating a dense carpet of succulent foliage that makes an outstanding groundcover or specimen in the rock garden. Plant where you can see it up close easily. Once established, this is a nice xeric perennial. Also called Sedum divergens, or Stonecrop. Old Man’s Bones makes a great companion plant for planting under taller growing Stonecrops (Sedum), around Fame Flower (Phemeranthus), and ornamental Fescue Grass (Festuca).
