Description

(12-60" tall) Our Rainforest Retreat Bulb Collection will help you create a restful retreat in any setting, from urban container gardens to shady garden nooks. A backdrop of enormous Elephant Ear foliage sets the stage for this textural planting. Five different varieties of Caladium provide dazzling color and a lovely ground layer reaching 12-24 inches tall. Ivory Art Calla Lily punctuates the heart-shaped foliage with upright leaves that are equally impressive. For a quick and easy flower arrangement, harvest Calla blooms along with a handful of Caladium leaves. These fabulous foliage plants perform best with morning sun and afternoon shade. Plant in a rich, moist soil. Elephant Ear and Calla are winter hardy in zones 8-10, and Caladiums are hardy to zone 9. Most gardeners in cooler zones dig these bulbs for winter storage or bring indoors in containers over the winter months.
