Overview
Dynamite Bearded Iris (Iris germanica Dynamite) sizzles with its large blooms of almost “fire-engine red” flowers. This spectacular Iris is one of the very best reds and adds unusual, big color to the late-spring garden. Large flowers, 4 to a stem, steal the show with eye-popping color. Tall and stately at 30-36”, ‘Dynamite’ is an excellent choice for focal points, perennial borders, garden walls and entrances. Not picky, easy-to-grow, and pollinator friendly, they make great cut flowers too.

This tall bearded Iris adds vertical interest with unusual color. Combine with other Iris, Allium, poppies, ornamental grasses, or as a focal point at an entrance, or in a perennial bed. The flowers are large, and the color is deep – ‘Dynamite’ loves attention! Easy care, cut or snap off spent blooms, then cut the stems back after flowering is finished. The clean lines of the foliage will continue to add interest all season long. Cut the foliage back after the first frost, and top dress with bone meal. In the spring feed an organic bulb food and get ready for more spectacular flowers.
