15-18" tall x 24" wide. 'October Skies' is an indespensible native perennial for attracting and feeding butterflies and bees in the fall, a time when many perennials are out of flower. This is a bushy, compact fall blooming Aster that covers itself with lavender-blue flowers in mid-fall. This species is commonly known as a fragrant aster and has arromatic foliage. When established this is a drought tolerant species that thrives in a wide range of soil types.
