It's longer-blooming than most poppies, blooming in early summer to mid summer; it may rebloom again in late summer. Reaching only 30 inches tall, Plum Pudding Oriental Poppy is more compact than other varieties. Papaver Plum Pudding has sturdy stems and makes a wonderful cut flower. To increase bloom time, deadhead regularly. If you leave the seed heads, they can be of use in dried flower arrangements. This poppy requires full sun and well-drained soil.
