Description

12-18" tall x 36" wide. This versatile native evergreen shrub is a great plant in so many ways. An early to mid-spring bloomer, it perfumes the garden with a profuse display of fragrant bright yellow flowers that set attractive purple berries ripening by fall. Use it as a permanent, long lived groundcover under trees and large shrubs where its shiny evergreen foliage provides year round interest. This is an essential species for providing native bee species with pollen and nectar. Grown from seed collected in Montana. Most soils including clay.
