The soft golden flowers of Lewisia longipetala 'Little Peach' (Bitterroot) light up the late spring rock garden with exquisite color. Long-lasting, they will rebloom again in late summer. Spectacular in flower, long-lived, and unique, this resilient native cultivar thrives in fast-draining gravelly sites and low fertility soil. With its compact form, it is a good fit for rock gardens, xeriscapes, sidewalk gardens, and containers. Pollinator favorites and deer resistant, these hardy plants are long-lived when happy.

Lewisia longipetala 'Little Peach' (Bitterroot) has round clusters of evergreen, narrow succulent leaves that form a patch 6-8" wide. Prized by rock gardeners, Lewisia is a waterwise, native pollinator favorite. If it’s time to up your game with water saving plants, give beautiful Lewisia a try! Great for rock walls, rock or alpine gardens, hillsides, or a rocky area where erosion control is needed. Native to the rocky slopes of western North America, Lewisia is a resilient native perennial that thrives in fast-draining gravelly sites and low fertility soil. Plant Lewisia in full sun or morning sun and afternoon shade. Good drainage and lean soil are the keys to success with these plants, but water when flowering. Thanks to its compact form, it makes a lovely container plant too, just be sure to keep the soil lean and use a gravel mulch. Plant it with Aubrieta, Sedum, Sempervivum, and compact Penstemon.
