Description

6-8' tall x 6-8' wide. (cutting propagated) This flowering shrub thrives in shade/part shade areas of the landscape making it extremely useful under tall trees and in the shade of buildings. Beautiful deep-yellow double flowers cover the plant in mid-spring. Deciduous, its bright green bark adds welcome color to the winter landscape, especially when contrasted with white barked trees like Birch and Aspen. Easy to grow in most any soil as long as it's well drained. A larger plant than 'Golden Guinea', it can be cut back in early summer after blooming is finished to keep it smaller. Compost enriched garden loam.
