2-3" tall x 5-6" wide. This Spiny Star Cactus (Escobaria vivipara Kimble Co., TX form) forms a multi-stemmed, clustering plant that blooms in late spring with huge, deep-magenta flowers. Not only is this a spectacular form of the species, but this Spiny Star Cactus has excellent tolerance to moisture making it a great choice for higher rainfall areas of the Great Plains and TX (excluding the Gulf Coast). It also grows well in drier areas of the West with a little supplement irrigation.
