Description

Headbourne Blue Lily of the Nile (Agapanthus Headbourne Hybrid Blue) blooms in mid-summer, with large, true blue flowers. The blooms are a delight to see and will attract hungry hummingbirds to its nectar-filled flowers. Nicely cold hardy, this selection can be widely grown across much of the US and is not favored deer, rabbits, and other pesky herbivores. Easy-to-grow, plant Headbourne Blue Agapanthus into the perennial border with compost-enriched soil and regular irrigation. Good for Firescaping. Companion plants include other South African native plants like Twinspur (Diascia), African Daisy (Gazania) and Ice Plant (Delosperma).
