(4-6" tall x 12-18" wide) SunSparkler® 'Lime Twister' Sedum is an easy-care stonecrop that carpets the ground with two-toned foliage. Flowering for well over a month in late summer with soft pink blossoms, the lime green leaves edged in creamy yellow complement the whole. This Sedum is so spectacular it also deserves a place on a patio or deck where it can drape over a pot’s edge with great effect. Not fussy on soil type, it grows best in low quality, sandy or gravely soil. It will tolerate richer soil as long as the drainage is good. A full sun location is optimal, but it will also tolerate light shade. Nice in borders, rock gardens, and alpine settings too. Sedums are top picks for creating good fire-scaping areas as their water-filled foliage slows fire. ‘Lime Twister’ is hardy in zones 4-9 and will naturalize and spread once established to create lovely carpets of color. Mixed with other Sedum, Sempervivum, Yucca, and low water companions it creates a water-thrifty landscape that dazzles. A native to the US, it is evergreen where winters are milder. In spring as new growth arrives, pinch back If desired to thicken growth. Water occasionally and enjoy the show these low-maintenance plants provide.
