Yes, the spring garden is easy to plant with lots of blooming perennials; but keeping things colorful through the summer months and into fall takes some study and planning. The August Afternoons perennial garden does this for you, bringing together a wonderful assortment of perennials and ornamental grasses. Designed by David Salman, founder and chief horticulturist of High Country Gardens, the garden blooms in shades of blue, pink and ivory, from mid-summer through early fall. Not only does this garden add color, texture and fragrance to your landscape but numerous hummingbirds and butterflies will also be attracted by these nectar-rich plants.
