Tips On Growing Achillea (Yarrow)
Achillea (Yarrow) are long-blooming, Old World perennials that are exceptionally easy-to-grow and provide ample nectar for butterflies. They are resistant to browsing rabbits and deer. Most are tall, upright growers with the exception of evergreen Achillea ageratifolia (Greek yarrow) and Achillea millifolium
‘Sonoma Coast,' which are groundcovers.

Comments about High Country Gardens Achillea filipendulina Coronation Gold:
I think it's really too soon to evaluate but, so far in its first year, it looks very healthy and happy in its full sun spot.

About Me Getting Started
Selecting the right plants for my sandy coastal soil has been an unanticipated gardening challenge in coastal Florida. But this hardy yarrow just won't be held back. It holds it head up beautifully among a selection of medium sized grasses.
This is a fantastic perennial. I bought it last fall and

tHIS IS THE BEST PLant that I've purchased through the mail that has performed as stated in catalog. Here in Southern Arizona its fantastic when I can get a plant to behave like a native. I will certainly buy from you again. I also encourage friends to look at your catalog on line.

Planted these last fall and even though it's only early April here in Colo, they are coming along nicely. Looking forward to seeing them in full bloom!
Beautiful and Easy
from Colorado Springs, CO
This grew quickly to full-size in one season, much larger and fuller than the other varieties of yarrow that I planted at the same time. The color is vibrant and beautiful. I didn't do anything extra for this plant other than watering as needed, and it thrived! So pleased! I look like a pro even though I know next to nothing about gardening.

Stunning Achillea - Coronation Gold
By Maude 5 Ponies
from Ennis, Montana
Added depth and contrast to a garden mound with Shastas and Aspens Planted with other perennials. Not self spreading like other types of yarrow, stays in attractive mound, attracting butterflies and birds - Pleasing addition in is very windy, dry and challenging high plains valley we call home. Zone 3 Even attractive in Winter

I had a few different Achillea already in my garden, but this one out performed the others hands down. It bloomed all summer long and into the fall. It was tall and robust and had a beautiful, bright, rich gold color. Each bloom was also very wide and radiant. I couldn't be happier with this Achillea.

Planted 5 of these plants to separate two pink rose beds. Watched with trepidation because I have never planted yarrow before, but this variety sounded like the best of the best yellow yarrow. It is now blooming and it is beautiful! A little over 2 ft tall, and able to withstand the hot breeze off a nearby busy street! I'll be trying more colors and varieties for those places that have been difficult to grow anything. Thanks so much, HCG!
