Groundcover that works
from Rochester, NY
About Me Master Gardener
This is an excellent and well-behaved ground cover. It is tolerant of poor soils and is withstanding the drought just fine - looks as fresh as a new leaf in spring. The "silver" edge against the greyed green is extremely attractive and sets off the other taller plants around it well. It is doing well in a west facing raised bed garden getting full sun for 3/4 of the day and little attention. Weeds don't get established under it and the tight cluster of leaves is slowly spreading out across the area. Definitely one I will encourage to spread and buy more of.

This plant tripled in size by the end of the season. It only remains to see how it handles our winters. A really nice addition to a new flower bed.

Great addition to my garden. Nice contrast since it has interesting color combination. Has spread nicely. Requires next to no care. Has made it through two tough Colorado winters and some unusual summers as well.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I frequently find my honeybees drinking dew from the fuzzy leaves.

Doing well in second season
Wanted this plant for its coloring and low-rowing properties. In early April, it is up and has spread nicely in the garden. Seems to handle the crazy Colorado weather well. Will likely purchase more.

Very cool volage!
By Lillies Galore
from Chicago-land, Illinois
After planting, I kept it well watered during its first year, and they tripled their width by summer's end. Its low growth makes a handsome front of border.

First saw this plant at the Maine botanical gardens and knew I needed to get some for my yard in RI. I have since bought more for my new yard here in TX. Easy to care for with stunning foliage.
