USDA Hardiness Planting Zones
To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low
temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will
survive the winter temperatures in your area.
If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack
of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
24-30" tall x 24" wide. 'Susanna' lights up the garden with a non-stop display of creamy-white daisies most of the summer. A vigorous, easily grown plant, it has finely textured foliage and lax, mounding stems. Best grown in infertile, well-drained soil without much supplemental irrigation. Pinch or shear stem tips in mid-spring to thicken up the plants. A great companion in front of tall blue-flowered perennials. Caring for Anthemis tinctoria Susanna Mitchell: Cut back to 3 to 4 inches in height in early to mid-spring. To keep blooming, occasional deadheading will help. Fertilize in the fall with organic fertilizer. (Cutting propagated)

Tips On GrowingAnthemis (Marguerite Daisy)
Anthemis (Marguerite Daisy) are a large genus of Old World and African plants with daisy-type flowers. They are generally rabbit and deer resistant. Preferred growing conditions:
Plant in fast draining, infertile sandy or loam soil with full sun. In the dry, western US, mulch with gravel or other coarse-textured non-bark mulch. In the Eastern US, no mulch is needed.
Keep regularly watered for the first growing season to establish the plants. Infrequent but deep watering is needed thereafter. Too much water will cause the plant to get floppy and fall over.
Deadhead to prolong blooming.
Fertilize lightly in fall with Yum Yum Mix/compost blend.
Special comments:
Cut back the plants hard in late fall to a height of 2 to 3 inches.
