Comments about High Country Gardens Anthemis tinctoria Susanna Mitchell:
These daisies are just delightful! I planted three plants in a wide triangle and they have completely filled and even overflowed the space. Every time I see them, I smile. :)

Absolutely Lovely Daisies
from Colorado Springs, CO
About Me Getting Started
These daisies are absolutely gorgeous! I planted them in late May and they are flourishing. The only drawback is that the baby rabbits LOVE them. I built a fence around them and they came back quite nicely. Hopefully I can remove the fence soon and the rabbits will be old enough to stay away. The flowers are wonderful and worth the extra work to keep the bunnies away.

Updated Review - Fantastic
from Parker, CO
I have already reviewed this plant, but can't figure out how to edit my original review. I will be buying more of these. During their second year, they flowered from mid-spring until the first big snow. They were amazing. They got about 24" tall and about 36" wide. We did have an unusually wet summer, so maybe that is why they did so well. I have HEAVY clay soil that I amended with compost, but it is still hard. They probably get sun from morning until about 2pm and are up by my front porch so they are somewhat sheltered from the wind.

This is a VERY strong plant!
from Boulder, CO
High Country, as usual, sent plants that were about to bust out of their boxes. If you intend to plant these Susan Mitchell's in full sun, then you need to take the indicated dimensions very seriously. By the end of the first season, these plants were 3-4 feet wide, throwing a deep blanket of gray foliage and an unending canopy of daisy-like blooms across any space it could claim. So, a fabulous plant for a sizable perennial bed, but not one that respects other's personal space.
I'm excited for these to bloom. I planted them last fall and they made it through a pretty tough winter. They are already almost a foot tall and look super healthy.
To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
