Comments about High Country Gardens Digitalis Honey Trumpet:
Got this last June when it was on sale. It grew only a little over the summer, but didn't seem to mind the heat. Read quite a few sources about the Spanish Digitalis (which is of this plant's parents) and decided to plant it with morning sun/afternoon shade. Moved it in late November to well-amended soil where it will get sun until mid-afternoon. Am hoping this performs well this spring and summer, but won't know until midsummer 2018.

I like it!

About Me Avid Gardener
As with many perennials, these guys were rather small with sparse flowers last year--the first year in the ground for me. But this year they have grown to over 2 feet high and are currently blooming very nicely. The shade of yellow is just right for me--not too bright or harsh and blends well with other colors. I love foxgloves and am happy to have these.

Planted in a bed that is naturalizing, and it is living, but did not bloom.

Very small flowers
from Beacon. NY
So far, I am disappointingly under-whelmed by this plant. The flowers are the absolute smallest I have ever seen on a foxglove. To get what you see in the image shown online, you would need 10 or so plants, packed tightly together. It's not even close to the size indicated, and since most foxglove are biennial, not sure when it ever would get to that size. I guess I will keep my fingers crossed for next year.
To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
