FlowerKisser® Arizona Snow Agastache is an exciting addition
to High Country Garden’s extensive Agastache selection. This native mountain
hyssop comes from the high plateaus and mountains of east-central Arizona,
where it grows in meadows and along road cuts. It likes to be grown in cool
summer climates, and is not suitable for planting in hot or muggy climates.
FlowerKisser™ Arizona Snow likes sunny or partially shaded sites and fast
draining soils; not clay. Deadhead to prolong the blooming, but leave the
plants and seed heads standing over the winter to feed small seed-eating
songbirds. Suitable for elevations above 7,000 feet. With its very upright
growing habit, Arizona Snow contrasts nicely with perennials that have a more
rounded habit and complementary colors like Geranium x 'Rosanne' and Aquilegia
chrysantha (Golden Columbine). Introduced by High Country Gardens chief
Horticulturist David Salman in 2020.
