'Red Happiness' Agastache is a cold hardy, red flowered Hummingbird Mint that blooms for many weeks from mid-summer. Outstanding for attracting hummingbirds. Exclusive.
Tips for growing Agastache
Agastache are sun loving plants with aromatic foliage and flowers. They bloom from mid-summer into early fall and are resistant to rabbits and deer.
Agastache need lean, well-drained soils, prefer gravel mulches, and appreciate deep but infrequent watering after their second growing season
To improve winter-hardiness, and encourage re-seeding, leave the stems intact over the winter. In mid-spring, remove old stems just above the new foliage, about 4 or 5 inches above ground level.
If your conditions don't lend themselves to growing Agastache in your garden, they do well planted in containers.

Comments about High Country Gardens Agastache Red Happiness:
Ordered and received the plant mid September planted it right away and started to bloom in late October. Never died to the ground this winter since we had an El Nino year. Now that we are in April the plant is already two feet tall and about to set flowers.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The color of this plant is beautiful. I planted this right off my front porch (next to my rocker) in an attempt to bring the hummingbirds closer. It worked in the first year! I have this mixed in with some pink phlox, which makes the color stand out even more. You won't regret getting this plant.

Brilliant color for the garden
By The Mad Gardner

I have this product growing in a meadow garden that I began creating six years ago. Agastache Red Happiness was one of the first plants that I placed into the area that first year. While it is a very slow growing plant, once it takes hold it basically takes care of itself. Over the last four years I have planted several agastache into the meadow (several more of the Red Happiness because of the beautiful color) and they are all doing well out there. I would recommend to anyone that they plant at least one Red Happiness some where in their garden, just for the brilliant color in late summer.

About Me Master Gardener
Planted this in the spring of 2015 in a un-irrigated part of the garden. What fantastic color! I can't wait until next year when it gets even bigger!

I planted this in my hummingbird garden along the border in front of taller plants. Plants grew well the first growing season and they bloomed well. Were used quite frequently by Rufous and Calliope Hummingbirds in my garden. This was the first season, so waiting until next year to see if this is cold hardy in my zone 6b garden. Plants grow upright and have good form.
To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
