Agastache Kudos™ Gold (Hummingbird Mint or Hyssop) has short tidy spikes of golden-yellow flowers--unusual color for the Hummingbird Mint group. One of the longest-blooming perennial plants we’ve found, you can expect colorful blooms from late spring through fall. Flowering at a height of slightly less than 2 ft., the plant has a tight mounding habit and is a perfect selection for containers. Agastache Kudos™ Gold has pleasantly aromatic foliage and flowers, with a scent mix of honey/mint/licorice. The fragrant plants will deter deer from browsing. The Kudos series exhibits excellent cold hardiness and can be grown across most of the US. An excellent choice for containers and the front of garden beds, plant in fast-draining soil, such as sand or loam; avoid clay. A full sun planting site is best. This plant is an excellent companion for growing with English lavender, Tickseed (Coreopsis) and Purple Coneflower (Echinacea). A Terra Nova Nurseries introduction.
