2. Prepare your soil by clearing the area of all existing growth.
3. Mix the Wildflower seeds with sand for better visibility.
4. After spreading the seed, we recommend compressing the seed into the soil.
5. After planting, give the area a good water.

The Nerine Lily (Pink Guernsey Lily) will reward gardeners with delightful fragrant pink lily-like blossoms from late-summer though frost.
Summer Blooming Bulbs, including popular varieties such as gladiolus and dahlias, are planted in the spring and bloom in the summer. Most of these bulbs are tropical and require warm weather to be planted. There must not be any danger of frost and your ground temperature must have reached 55 degrees Fahrenheit before planting. Many
of our summer blooming bulbs can be planted as perennials in zones 9-10 (zone 8 if mulched), but should be treated as annuals in cooler climates. You can lift them and store them in the fall, or bring patio pots inside before frost. See page 15 of our Planting Guide for a bulb depth planting illustration.

Comments about High Country Gardens Nerine Lily (Spider Lily) Bulbs:
These nice bulbs were potted upon arrival. They grew all summer, but no flowers. Before frost theywere allowed to dry out and taken to a basement for the winter. This spring brought outside still in thelarge conainers. Nice green foliage, but still no flowering ! I have seen these in Portugal and Europe. Would really like to know their culture and how to flowerthem.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Waiting for blooms...
from Vader, WA
My Nerine Lily has not bloomed yet. Saw this blooming in Victoria, B.C. last fall so I have some time before I hope to see the pretty pink blossoms coming up. The foliage is nice and doesn't seem to be bothered by the deer or rabbits (and I have alot of critters around).
To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
