2. Prepare your soil by clearing the area of all existing growth.
3. Mix the Wildflower seeds with sand for better visibility.
4. After spreading the seed, we recommend compressing the seed into the soil.
5. After planting, give the area a good water.

Rosita was selected for its smaller size and dense spikes of raspberry-red flowers (50% more flowers than the typical Agastache cana). It blooms for several months beginning in early to mid-summer. A High Country Gardens introduction
Tips for growing Agastache
Agastache are sun loving plants with aromatic foliage and flowers. They bloom from mid-summer into early fall and are resistant to rabbits and deer.
Agastache need lean, well-drained soils, prefer gravel mulches, and appreciate deep but infrequent watering after their second growing season
To improve winter-hardiness, and encourage re-seeding, leave the stems intact over the winter. In mid-spring, remove old stems just above the new foliage, about 4 or 5 inches above ground level.
If your conditions don't lend themselves to growing Agastache in your garden, they do well planted in containers.

While I have been gardening for years I am new to the south west and learning what will and will not grow here. High country Gardens have not steered me wrong in my choice of plants. I have tried the local places but they were not very helpful. I have learned the hard way that what does nicely on the east coast and north do not like this area. These plants will let me have the flowers and blooms through the summer and entice the birds I like. I am very pleased with the way they have taken off growing well as soon as planted.

Lost Rosita, all others happily up!
Lost my little Rosita over winter after her first season in our mt soil. All others ordered are up and appear to be doing nicely. Fingers crossed! Thank you.

I recommend this one
By M Luke

I ordered three Rosita agastaches and planted them together in a well-drained bed. The plants thrived all summer and developed fuller and bushier than my taller agastaches with a lovely color. The bees and hummers were very happy with them, too. I sometimes have bad luck with agastaches surviving the winter in my zone 5 garden, but I'm hopeful that these will come through.

Rosita remained very small in size the first summer (2016)but came into its own this year, blooming for months on end. It is planted in very poor rocky soil and gets only occasional supplementary water during the growing season.
from Pollock, SD
This plant has lovely color and fits in well with many other plants in the flower garden. It is a real hummingbird and bee magnet. It must be pretty hardy too as it is recommended for zone 5 and above and it grows well for me here in zone 4 although I do mulch it a little for the winter. Did lose one this past winter, but not too upset seeing as how it's really out of my zone. Have this planted among other agastache and coneflowers and panecum.

Nice size Agastache
from Taos, NM
This was the background plant I used in a new raised garden. It performed beautifully by adding the deep pink to red color I wanted immediately the first year, which was a surprise. I can't wait to see how it does in the next few years.

Nice bright, long-lasting flowers
from Smith Valley, NV
Great xeric garden plant, flower color packs a punch! Trouble-free, bunnies leave it alone. The only downside is that initially the flower clusters were stumpy, but as the plant matured they elongated and now look normal.
