Moonshine Yarrow (Achillea Moonshine) is an outstanding selection with silver-gray foliage and flat-topped flowers of lemon-yellow flowers that cover the plant all summer. A sterile, non-reseeding variety.
Tips On Growing Achillea (Yarrow)
Achillea (Yarrow) are long-blooming, Old World perennials that are exceptionally easy-to-grow and provide ample nectar for butterflies. They are resistant to browsing rabbits and deer. Most are tall, upright growers with the exception of evergreen Achillea ageratifolia (Greek yarrow) and Achillea millifolium
‘Sonoma Coast,' which are groundcovers.

Planted this with the Red Velvet this spring. Both did well along a hot dry south-facing back fence. Hope to see more next year

I planted two small plugs in early April. They are already about 8-10 inches tall and blooming by mid- June. Reliable and adds texture.

Grew well over the summer but rabbits ate it to the ground this fall. Hopefully will grow back next spring

I planted one of these in a spot where nothing else would grow and it is doing great! The soil is pretty much solid clay, and the excess water off my neighbor's lawn drains into the area so it is excessively wet and then hard as a rock when it is dry. This plant doesn't seem to care.

Tough, tough, tough
I bought 4 of these to put in a narrow, rocky area between my lawn and fence. I'm hoping once they get bigger, they will attract more birds to my yard. The area they are in has morning shade and afternoon sun. The soil is heavy clay (I mixed it half and half with potting soil before I filled the holes back in). My husband fell on one of them and broke if off at ground level about two weeks after I planted them. The rabbits ate another one down to the ground about three weeks after I planted them. I was sure they were dead, but just in case I kept watering them throughout the fall. We had a rough winter and our backyard was covered in about 6" to 12" of snow from November to February. I was certain it probably smothered the other two. To my surprise, when I went to check on everything in early March when the snow had finally melted away, ALL 4 were getting leaves. The two that were still standing have buds all over them, and the other two have leaves coming up from soil level. I'm impressed with the currant's will to survive. I hope they start increasing in size this year. The two that did not get broken are the same size as when I planted them.

Always love High Country's products and service
from Vicksburg, MS
I live in Mississippi where it gets very hot. I have the two Achillea Moonshine plants I bought planted on the west wall of a brick building. They have had very little water and tremendous heat but have grown beautifully and bloomed all summer long (this was their first year).Every plant I've bought from High Country has been very healthy and has great size.

No perennial garden should be without this plant. Pairs with almost anything, but especially with the dark salvias. Received very robust plants that seemed to start blooming as soon as I put them in the ground. Blooms continuously for months, and deadheading produces a second round of blooming in late season.

This plant has done beautifully in my front courtyard!
from Placitas, NM
This plant reduced my maintenance of my front yard because it has a long blooming season and even after it finishes blooming, the heads remain attractive.

I used them along side the house and stairs, helped fill out the area. the deer did not care for it, but some were eaten by something.
