Panicum virgatum 'Ruby Ribbons' (Ruby Ribbons Prairie Switch Grass) is an outstanding native ornamental grass that develops showy burgundy-red foliage in late summer and early fall. A selection of Panicum virgatum, it blooms in late summer with airy sprays of red flowers. A very easy-to-grown perennial, it thrives in a wide range of soil types and moisture levels. It's an excellent selection for use in a rain garden too.
