Oriental Lily Magny Course
Details16-18" tall. 'Magny Course' is a sweet dwarf lily with large deep pink flowers edged with a thin line of white. Fragrant and showy. Oriental lilies enjoy full to part sun in compost enriched acidic garden soil and are cold hardy in zones 3-9. They often have huge flowers and taller varieties benefit from staking, especially if you live in a windy area. Mulch well in winter to protect the bulbs from too much cold. Hybridized from Asian native plants.

Growing Lilies: You can easily bring the spectacular beauty of lilies into your summer garden. They take very little ground space, so it’s simple to plant them in between other established perennials or shrubs. Most lilies can tolerate some shade and can be planted in spring or fall. Our Lilies are nursery-cultivated in Holland, not collected in the wild.

Q & A
USDA Hardiness Planting Zones
To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
- If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
- If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
