8-12' x 6-8' wide. (Seed propagated.) Blooming in late spring with hanging clusters of lilac scented white flowers, this slow growing little tree is a perfect choice for today's small yards. A little known, rarely cultivated western native plant, Western Flowering Ash is a treasure among our native "woodies." It has very small compound leaves that give the plant a very fine-textured canopy of foliage that won't shade out other plants planted under it. Grow it as a single stem or multi-stemmed specimen. This is a very drought tolerant tree once established, that thrives in low fertility, well-drained soils making it ideal for use through out the Southwest and intermountain West. Never common in habitat, it ranges from western-most TX, sporadically through New Mexico, across parts of northern AZ and into southwestern Nevada. Zones 5-9. 5" deep Premium pot.
