12" x 10-12" wide, (seed propagated). Jones' Bluestar, native to Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah, is a beautiful species with an upright vase-shaped form, large clusters of tubular, ivory-colored flowers and finely textured foliage with pleasing yellow fall color. Patience is needed while this plant sizes up in your garden. But this slow-growing native, once established, is very long-lived and showy, just like fellow native species Clematis scottii. Jones' Bluestar grows well in a wide range of soil types and makes a fine companion for other western xerophytes like Penstemon linarioides var. coloradensis. Zones 4-8. 3' deep standard pot size.
