12-15" x 18" wide. (Seed propagated.) This is the giant form of Agave utahensis. Variety 'kaibabensis' is a handsome, formidably spined Agave with moderately thin, long, stout gray-green leaves. I've found it to be a slow grower, but that's probably how it endures the searing summer heat and brutally cold winters of its northern AZ habitat. Very uncommon in cultivation, it's much larger than any other forms of Agave utahensis. Seed was collected at 5,000' elevation on the south rim of the Grand Canyon near the Navajo Native American town of Cameron, AZ. Zones 5-9. 3" deep standard pot size.
