36" x 18" wide (cutting propagated) A truly eye catching plant in flower, this late summer bloomer loves a hot sunny exposure to show-off its unusual fuzzy orange-sherbet colored blossoms. Leonitis is native to North Africa where it is used as a medicinal herb. Lion's Ear appreciates a fertile soil and modest amounts of water to do well in flower beds and containers (where I recommend a granular slow-release fertilizer be added to the potting soil). It is vigorous enough to grow to full height and flower as an annual in areas with hot summers. Perennial in Zones 8-11.
