The seeds can be saved from year to year (as long as they don't get cross-pollinated with another variety) and they will grow a plant just like the original one. Tomatoes should be planted outside after the last average frost date. You can plant up to 6 weeks earlier if you use Kozy Coats Plant Protectors. Tomatoes prefer well drained soil that is high in organic matter. Tomatoes need at least 1 inch of water a week. Soak to depth of 6 to 10 inches when watering. They need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Indeterminate tomatoes grow and fruit throughout the summer. Their flowers bloom along the vines, not on the ends.
