Here at home, Blue-leaf Red Hot Poker adds color, texture and structure to the garden with its robust rosettes of blue foliage.These uniquely colored strap-like leaves stand out among their green leafed companions. While this plant is widely adaptable across much of the country, it does especially well in gardens at higher altitudes. Kniphofia caulescens thrives in compost-enriched soils that are well drained over the winter months (No low spots that collect rain and snow.)
