18" x 12" wide, (seed propagated). (Note, botanists have changed this plant's genus from _Stipa_ to _Nassella_.) Silky Thread Grass is our most graceful native bunch grass. It gently sways in the breeze and its silky seed heads glow brightly when they catch the sunlight. Plant _Nassella_ in any well drained soil. It is an excellent xeric companion plant and is particularly nice when planted with Agave, Agastache and gray Artemisia. Re-seeds itself readily. Zones 5-10
