10-15” x 10-15” wide. A very long-blooming native plant, its large yellow tubular flowers open at dusk attracting hawk moths in great numbers. The red and yellow candy striped flower buds are also very attractive during the day. This is a long lived plant with deep roots and fine textured foliage. The plant should be cut back to just above ground level in early spring to keep it tidy. Must be grown dry once established; not recommended for areas receiving more than about 15-18” of precipitation annually. Zones 6-9.
