An excellent new variety with large, medium firm berries and intense raspberry flavor. It freezes well and can be used fresh or for jam. It's a bit more productive than 'Heritage' and ripens several weeks earlier. 'Caroline' is excellent for use all across the country except in Zone 8-9 areas with mild winter temperatures. NOT suitable for growing in extremely hot areas of the desert Southwest. Plants fruit lightly their second growing season and come into full production by the third year.
