44-48" x 18" Tall. (Seed Propagated.) A very cold hardy native wildflower, 'Summer Nights' was originally selected by native plant specialists North Creek Nursery. The cultivar's red stems and purple-red foliage make a nice backdrop for the large, golden, orange-red eyed daisy shaped flowers. Blooming begins in mid-summer. Cultivate it in most any garden soil and leave the seed-filled flower heads to attract wild birds in fall. Plant in front of Prairie Switchgrass (Panicum) or Indiangrass (Sorghastrum). Zones 3-8
